Privacy policy
This policy explains what data the Finn Water Tracker app ("Finn", "the app") and this website collect, and how that data is used. Our aim is simple: collect as little as possible and keep your information on your device.
What the app stores
- The drinks you log (amount and time)
- Your daily water goal
- Your app choices, such as which tank and fish you're using
This information is stored only on your phone. You don't need an account to use Finn, and we don't upload your water history to our servers.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't share your data with advertisers.
- We don't use your health information for advertising.
Apple Health and Health Connect
A future version of Finn may let you sync water intake with Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android). This will only happen if you turn it on and grant permission. Data shared with those services is handled under Apple's or Google's privacy policies, and you can revoke access at any time in your phone's settings.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, they're scheduled on your device. You can turn them off anytime in the app or your phone's settings.
This website
finnapp.health is hosted on GitHub Pages and loads fonts from Google Fonts. Like most web hosts, these services may log basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type. This site does not use cookies or analytics.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes all of its data from your phone. You can also clear today's entries inside the app at any time.
Children
Finn isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
